Professional Directories

I can’t change the direction of the wind,
but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
~ Jimmy Dean

Online therapist directories spend thousands of dollars increasing their site rankings online so they will show up first in the search listings.

I get the majority of my business from directories.  The reason for that is, if someone has taken the time to go to one of those sites, they are already looking for what you are offering.  As long as you can catch their attention while there, they are much more likely to actually pick up the phone and call you to book an appointment.

People not looking for therapy tend not to scroll through therapy directories.

Being on these sites up the chances that someone will find your personal website. In the beginning, try a few different ones and overtime, see which ones actually send you business and then focus on those. Remember, if you get one regular client from a site, it’s often paid for itself.

Below are links to some popular directories.  Make sure you do your own research and see which ones, if any, fit for your practice.
