Week Eight – Forms and Policies

“The possibilities are numerous once we decide to act and not react.”
~ George Bernard Shaw

In order to keep your business running smoothly, consider the policies you need to have in place before you begin seeing clients, and the forms that will support you in the work that you do.

Your policies may change overtime.

However, think these things through now so you don’t get surprised when you encounter a situation that requires  clear boundaries. In this module there are many templates and potential scripting suggestions that are general in nature. Please borrow from them or adapt them to suit your purposes.

These template and policies are not to be used as is, and are only for educational purposes.

These are foundational tools for your practice, so they need to be tailored to your needs and your style. There might also be additional forms or policies that your specific business requires not provided here.  Make sure you check with your specific circumstances.

It is also recommended to check with the guidelines and policies laid out by your governing associations and/or legal counsel when drafting your forms and policies. Most have suggestions for how you may approach various situations with your clients and can help you determine if your forms and policies cover you and your practice appropriately.
